Want to support Sanctuary?

Give a Financial Gift

Over 70% of our budget comes from individual donors and foundations—gifts from people like you are what keep Sanctuary going! Monthly gifts help us to plan and to remain a steady, consistent presence in the lives of our friends. We would also love to hear from you through Donate A Car Canada.

Tax receipts for all eligible gifts will be sent at year end (charitable # 890379340 RR0001). For any questions about financial donations & tax receipts, please contact Debra

Pray

Please keep the Sanctuary community in your prayers. Right now, we would be especially grateful for prayers for:

  • Safety, health and housing for the folks who are living in encampments around the city.

  • Our friends who are feeling isolated and cut-off from their community.

  • The continued health of our staff team.

Advocate

Call, write, or email your local representatives to tell them that you value the lives and well-being of people living in poverty in your community. If you live in Toronto, it’s always helpful to let your representatives know that you appreciate Sanctuary’s work. This helps us a lot!

Visit Us

It feels good and empowering to serve through meaningful work, and we want to prioritize offering that opportunity to people in our community whose strengths, resiliencies, and gifts are often ignored or denied. If you’re someone who gets lots of chances to serve and give back, we would love to welcome you into this community, but when you come, it will be others hosting you. Maybe one day you might find yourself wiping down a table—but you’ll be doing it alongside your friends. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch with Rica
