Born in Toronto, currently living in the downtown core. I describe myself as a free spirit who loves anything creative & colourful.  I just retired from Yonge Street Mission after 27 years on staff and 4 years volunteering prior to that. I served as Community Outreach Pastor with Church at the Mission and remain there as Community Pastor Emeritus. Also spent half my time at Evergreen drop-in for street youth for over 20 years then as Care Manager with Bridges program for adults. Worked in the community with those street involved, mostly those in sex trade and struggling with addictions & homelessness.  From 1994-2017 also did chaplaincy to women in the provincial & federal systems and worked with them upon release as well. Besides outreach & drop-ins, did summer camps for women who were street/prison involved, ran women’s days, Christmas parties, etc. Also facilitated groups & courses including Bible studies. I continue to preach and lead worship on a regular basis. I’m also involved with Dismas Fellowship, a group for ex-offenders.  I have been involved with Sanctuary through the years, beginning as a volunteer in the early days, doing outreach and being a part of community events as well as being ministry colleagues with staff through the years;  a lot of the community people I have known through my ministry and from being at Sanctuary events. Newly retired, I have more time to become more involved in Sanctuary as I have always loved the community and heart of Sanctuary and it is close to where I live. It is an honour to now be on the Board and I pray I can be a blessing.

I graduated from Tyndale University 1996 with BRE-Pastoral and I still remain ordained with Evangelical Christian Churches of Canada (a non-denominational organization). In 2012 I was awarded a Queen Elizabeth Jubilee metal for community work. My hobbies include: creative writing, dramatic & comedy acting, guitar & bass guitar, road trips, swimming, having laughs & fun with people.
